Fällt der Apfel nicht weit vom Stamm? Das Verhalten von Eltern in der Erziehung wirkt sich auf ihre Kinder aus, beispielsweise kann es das kindliche Sozialverhalten beeinflussen. Verschiedene elterliche Verhaltensweisen können dabei unterschiedliche Einflüsse auf das Verhalten von Kindern haben, und auch das kindliche Verhalten kann das Verhalten von Eltern in der Erziehung beeinflussen.
Im Rahmen des Seminars sollen diese Mechanismen von Eltern-Kind-Verhalten aus quantitativ-soziologischer Perspektive untersucht werden. Dafür werden im ersten Teil des Seminars theoretische Erklärungsansätze und methodische Analyseverfahren erläutert, bevor die Studierenden im zweiten Teil des Seminars die Möglichkeit haben, diese für die Beantwortung einer selbst entwickelten Forschungsfrage anzuwenden. Ziel des Seminars ist die praktische Anwendung der Kenntnisse quantitativer Methoden der empirischen Sozialforschung, die die Studierenden im Grundlagen-Modul (Modul 30-M2) erworben haben.

Als Statistik-Software wird Stata verwendet. Stata-Grundkenntnisse sind erwünscht.
