In dem Blockseminar sollen zunächst ausgewählte Studien aus dem Bereich der empirischen Schul- und Bildungsforschung besprochen und von den Teilnehmenden in Bezug auf ihren theoretischen wie methodischen Aufbau und ihren inhaltlichen Erkenntnisgewinn für die schulische Praxis und Erziehungswissenschaft erschlossen werden. Dabei soll eine Bandbreite unterschiedlicher methodischer Ansätze sowohl aus dem quantitativen wie auch aus dem qualitativen Bereich thematisiert werden. Ausgehend von diesem Überblick bekommen die Teilnehmenden die Gelegenheit, in Gruppenarbeit eine eigene Skizze für ein mögliches Forschungsprojekt zu entwerfen. Ziel des Seminars ist es, zum einen die Perspektive auf Bildung, Schule und Unterricht durch erziehungswissenschaftlich informierte Erkenntnisse zu erweitern und zum anderen Wege einer Reflexion der eigenen professionellen Praxis in der Schule aufzuzeigen.
Erwartet werden neben einem grundsätzlichen Interesse an den genannten Inhalten die Beteiligung an einer Expertengruppe zu einer bestimmten empirischen Studie und die ebenfalls in Gruppenarbeit erfolgende Ausarbeitung und Vorstellung einer eigenen Projektskizze (3 Leistungspunkte). Ggf. kann zusätzlich ein Essay im Umfang von vier bis fünf Seiten übernommen werden (4 Leistungspunkte).
