Dieses Projektmodul soll dem Studierenden Einblick in die experimentelle Laborarbeit geben. Dazu wird aus dem Gebiet der angewandten bakteriellen Biotechnologie eine Aufgabe gestellt, die in der vorgegebenen Zeit gelöst werden kann. Ein zugeordneter Betreuer unterstützt die Arbeit. Es werden u.a. Methoden zur Fermentation von Bakterienstämmen, z.B. für die Aminosäure-Produktion und die Produktanalytik mittels HPLC sowie die Analyse von Wachstum- und Produktertägen und -raten und Substratverbrauchsraten erlernt. iel dieses Praktikums ist es, den Teilnehmer an eine selbständige Forschungsarbeit heranzuführen, so wie er sie später bei Bachelor- oder Masterarbeiten zu leisten hat. Dieses Praktikum ist für fortgeschrittene Studenten gedacht, die entsprechende Vorlesungen, Seminare und Praktika besucht haben und eine experimentelle Arbeit am Lehrstuhl für Genetik der Prokaryoten planen.
