In this seminar, we will be examining different textual, audio and video productions by indigenous artists from the Americas. In essence, we will investigate the self-representation of Native America; the socio-political contexts in which these cultural products are produced, their messages, significance and reception. Additionally, we will look at indigenous critical theories as a method to explore indigenous meaning-making and interpretation in the Americas.
Literature will be provided on the Lernraum+ platform.

The binding module descriptions contain further information, including specifications on the "types of assignments" students need to complete. In cases where a module description mentions more than one kind of assignment, the respective member of the teaching staff will decide which task(s) they assign the students.
