Anhand ausgewählter Lektüre erarbeiten wir wichtige Positionen, Konzepte, Modelle und Methoden der Filmwissenschaft und -theorie und überprüfen diese an Hand ausgewählter Filmbeispiele auf ihre Anwendungsrelevanz hin. Außerdem lernen Teilnehmer*innen Grundbegriffe der Filmanalyse kennen und diese exemplarisch anzuwenden. Herzstück des Lektüreteils ist der großartige, konzise Einführungsband von Thomas Elsaesser und Malte Hagener, dessen Anschaffung den geneigten Teilnehmer*innen dringend empfohlen wird.
