Topics of the lecture will be chosen from:
fully nonlinear equations
deterministic homogenization
stochastic homogenization
viscosity solutions
Gama convergence
10 lectures (second half of May until end of June) will be taught by Russell Schwab, Michigan State University. He is an expert on fully nonlinear PDE and stochastic homogenization. Theoretically, these 10 lectures can be followed without having attentend the previous lectures. However, we will work in class on the prerequisites beforehand.
Basic knowledge of function spaces and PDE theory.
