Dictionaries include more than lexical information. In this seminar we will look at different lexica and compare their structure, the kind of information they include, as well as the views, attitudes, values, and zeitgeist they represent.
For students of the new BA model it is obligatory to have successfully completed BM3.
For students of the old BA model and the M.Ed. it would be a good idea to have taken Introduction to Applied Linguistics and Introduction to Linguistics.
Knowledge of the history, linguistic and cultural, of English is also an advantage.
