In der ersten Hälfte des Seminars werden kulturtheoretische Texte analysiert. Ein paar Beispiele sollen hier erwähnt werden: Kultur als Text, Kultur als Praxis, Kultur als Sprache. Die Entwicklung des Kulturbegriffs: Vergangenheit-Gegenwart und Zukunft!
In der zweiten Hälfte werden praktische Handlungsfelder der bildungspolitischen Kulturarbeit vorgestellt. Ziel des Seminars ist es sowohl theoretische Grundlagen des Begriffes Kultur in Bezug auf bildungspolitische Arbeit als auch der praktische Zugang anhand des Kulturentwicklungsplans der Stadt Bielefeld. Hier wird die Entwicklung, die Zielsetzung, die zukünftige Implementierung des Konzeptes diskutiert.
