220054 Quellenlektüre zum Hundertjährigen Krieg (Ü) (SoSe 2007)

Die Auswertung von Quellen stellt die Basis der Arbeit des Historikers dar; dabei lassen sich die erhaltenen Zeugnisse vergangener Epochen nicht immer so ohne weiteres "entschlüsseln".In dieser Übung soll es um die konkrete Arbeit mit spätmittelalterlichen Quellen gehen. Anhand von Texten aus der Zeit des Hundertjährigen Krieges (1337-1453) (z.B. zur Jacquerie von 1358) sollen auftretende Schwierigkeiten bei der Arbeit mit diesen Quellen ebenso wie charakteristische Arbeitsweisen und Hilfswissenschaften (z.B. Paläographie, Urkundenlehre, Chronologie) vorgestellt und besprochen werden. Da die meisten Quellen, die transkribiert und besprochen werden sollen, in französischer Sprache verfasst sind, sollten die Teilnehmer über gute Französischkenntnisse verfügen.
