Adressaten der Veranstaltung sind Studierende, die im Hauptstudium stehen und examensrelevantes Wissen vertiefen und festigen wollen. Arbeitsfelder liegen "querbeet" durch das Schuld- und Sachenrecht; sie bestehen im Recht der Personalsicherheiten und der Realsicherheiten. Einzelthemen sind Bürgschaft, Schuldbeitritt und Garantien, dann das Mobiliarpfandrecht, die Sicherungsübereignung und die Sicherungszession, der Eigentumsvorbehalt und seine Erweiterung und Verlängerung in andere Sicherheiten, schließlich auch die wichtigsten Grundpfandrechte in Gestalt von Grundschuld und Hypothek. Literatur-empfehlungen werden zu Beginn der Veranstaltung gegeben.
Es wird eine Abschlussklausur im Hauptstudium angeboten.
