Die Veranstaltung soll einerseits vertiefte Kenntnisse des für Examen und Praxis besonders wichtigen Schadensrechts (Verschuldens- und Gefährdungshaftung) vermitteln. Andererseits soll sie in die Schadensregulierung einführen. Dabei ist nicht nur das Prozessrecht als Kernfach des Schwerpunktbereichs 1 zu berücksichtigen, sondern auch die Tatsache, dass in weitem Umfang Versicherer an der Regulierung beteiligt sind und eine Konfliktbeilegung überwiegend außergerichtlich erfolgt.
Die Veranstaltung wird zusammen mit Rechtsanwalt Prof. Dr. Rainer Heß, LL.M. abgehalten, der seit vielen Jahren auf das Schadensrecht und die Schadens¬regulierung spezialisiert ist. Hierdurch wird es möglich, den Studie¬renden einen besonderen Einblick in die Praxis zu geben. Dazu soll auch der Einblick in „echte“ laufende Fälle und Prozesse gehören; u.a. ist der Besuch bei einem Zivilsenat des OLG Hamm vorgesehen.
