Die Lehrveranstaltung wendet sich vor allem an Studierende des Schwerpunktbereichs 6 (Einwanderung und soziale Integration) und des Schwerpunktbereichs 7 (Arbeit und sozialer Schutz). Die Lehrveranstaltung bietet eine Einführung in das Recht der gesetzlichen Krankenversicherung (SGB V), das Recht der sozialen Pflegeversicherung (SGB XI), das Recht der gesetzlichen Rentenversicherung (SGB VI), das Recht der gesetzlichen Unfallversicherung (SGB VII) und das Recht der Arbeitsförderung (SGB III). Der Stoff der Vorlesung ist eine Grundlage für die Semesterabschlußklausur in den Schwerpunktbereichen 6 und 7. Für die Studierenden der beiden Schwerpunktbereiche wird zu Beginn der vorlesungsfreien Zeit außerdem eine Hausarbeit angeboten.
