Upon entering the University you are stepping into a intercultural space - various cultures and visual diversity are everywhere you look. It could even be argued that almost every contemporary space and local is quickly becoming an intercultural one, especially at the academic and professional level. This trend will only continue to expand as the world becomes an increasingly smaller more connected place through globalization and innovations in mass communication.

How we interact in these intercultural spaces is often different what we know and still continually evolving. Accordingly we need a specialized and sensitive language to navigate such terrain. Through class activities, simulation and input guided discussions, this class aims to foster in the participants a greater cultural sensitivity when communicating with individuals of diverse backgrounds and provide them with the insights and language needed to do so effectively.
