In der Veranstaltung werden zentrale Fragestellungen des Geometrieunterrichts in der Grund-, Haupt- und Realschule behandelt. Wichtige Inhaltsbereiche sowie (inhaltsbezogene und allgemeine) Lernziele des Geometrieunterrichts in den Klassen 1 bis 10 werden erörtert und an ausgewählten Fragen exemplarisch vertieft. Themen sind u.a. geometrische Begriffsbildung, ebene und räumliche Figuren, Symmetrie und Abbildungen, Dreiecks- und Viereckslehre sowie die Satzgruppe des Pythagoras. An den inhaltlichen Themen werden gezielt Möglichkeiten zur Förderung allgemeiner Lernziele diskutiert.
