Jedes Material bietet bereits anregende Impulse, die für Gestaltungsvorhaben aufgegriffen werden können. Unter welchen Gesichtspunkten kann ich diese weiter verfolgen, zuspitzen? Was erfahre ich beim Formen, Bauen, Konstruieren, Montieren über das Verhältnis von Körper und Raum, Masse und Leere? Im unmittelbaren Kontakt zwischen Mensch und Materie, im direkten Zugriff, steckt ein Potenzial, um die Selbst- und Weltwahrnehmung zu erweitern und die Ausbildung der räumlich-visuellen Kompetenz zu fördern.
Für das Lernen mit allen Sinnen bietet die Werkstatt viele Anregungen auch für interdisziplinäre Verknüpfungen. Ziel ist eine vielseitige Bandbreite an reflektierten Herangehensweisen im Handlungsfeld körper- und raumbezogenen Gestaltens.
