This course provides a simple introduction to the most useful and widespread statistical methods in psycholinguistics. We begin by looking at the basic logic of statistical tests in general. The aim is then to explain clearly and briefly how common statistical tests work, when they can be used, and how they should be interpreted. We will also focus on how to conduct these tests in practice, on real data, using the statistics package R, for which no prior knowledge is assumed.
