Im Rahmen der Forschungsmodule bearbeiten die Studierenden individuelle Projekte, die in die am Lehrstuhl bearbeiteten Fragestellungen integriert sind, z.B. die Reaktion auf biotische und abiotische Stressoren, die Interaktion des circadianen Systems mit Immunantworten und der Übergang von vegetativem zu reproduktivem Wachstum. Im Forschungsmodul 1 stehen die Erarbeitung der entsprechenden Techniken im Vordergrund (RNA- und Proteintechniken, Realtime PCR, Ein- und Zweiphotonenmikroskopie, FRAP, chimäre Genkonstrukte, transgene Pflanzen, RNA Interferenz, artifical miRNAs).
