Besonders geeignet für Promotions-Studenten der "International Graduate School in Bioinformatics and Genome Research". Ebenfalls geeignet für fortgeschrittene Studenten der Diplom-Biologie und des Master-Studiengangs "Bioinformatik und Genomforschung". Theoretische Grundlagen aus den entsprechenden Vorlesungen der Veranstalter sind unabdingbare Voraussetzung für eine erfolgreiche Teilnahme.

The purpose of this seminar is to familiarize well advanced students with skills related to extracting information from scientific texts and with elaborating scientific documents. Based on selected topics from the current literature in experimental genomics, small groups of students will be formed that join forces in summarizing information from the current literature into scientific essays or review-style articles. The students and supervisors will meet regularly to discuss the progress made. The resulting essays/review articles are due by the end of the term and will be graded by the supervisors.
