230763 Englisch: FSZ English Choir (A Cappella Chor) (S) (WiSe 2022/2023)

Last summer semester the FSZ founded a new choir at Bielefeld University. The FSZ English Choir is an A Cappella choir focusing on modern English pop literature.
Who can join?
Basically anyone can join the choir. It’s open for all students and staff. But there will be auditions in the first weeks before the semester starts. Don’t worry, this is no talent show. But I need to know your vocal range, how good you can read sheet music, and if you can follow musical directions.
What will we be singing?
Last semester we started with some very easy arrangements of popular songs from the last couple of years. The main goal will be to train basic singing techniques and create a proper sound. This semester we will continue our journey and start preparing for our upcoming concert in summer 2023.

With an ongoing pandemic it remains unclear how much COVID 19 testing will be necessary to partake. In order not to infect anyone we all have to act reasonable and careful in compliance with university's hygiene concept and regulations.
Also there is no need to do the placement test for English. You should be able to understand and follow musical directions in English though.
