Was ist wissenschaftliches Arbeiten – und was nicht? Welche Standards wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten gibt es, wozu dienen sie und macht es Studierende der EW zu besseren Pädagog*innen, um sie zu wissen und sie anwenden zu können? Hat ‚die eigene Meinung‘ Platz in wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten?
Wissenschaftliches Arbeiten ist zum einen eine Praxis, die im Studium erlernt werden soll; die Veranstaltung versteht sich als Einstieg dazu. Systematische Suche nach Literatur, Lesetechniken, Präsentation von Inhalten, schriftliche Auseinandersetzung mit einer Fragestellung werden dazu im Seminar erläutert und ausprobiert. Auch wird anhand von Textbeispielen der Unterschied zwischen wissenschaftlichem und nicht-wissenschaftlichem Arbeiten diskutiert. Im Sinne wissenschaftlichen Arbeitens werden selbstverständlich auch Fragen nach dem ‚Sinn‘ wissenschaftlichen Arbeitens und dessen Standards selbst mitlaufen.
