In this class, we regularly meet to
- present and discuss ongoing project work,
- read and discuss "hot topics" and recent ongoing work in phonetics and related areas,
- listen to presentations by invited researchers in phonetics and related areas,
- discuss methodological questions and learn about new methodological approaches,
- practice techniques both in scientific presentation as well as feedback.
This class is addressed to anybody with a strong interest in phonetics research, at all levels of experience. However, please notice that this is not an introductory class, as we discuss ongoing state-of-the-art research and report on our own ongoing projects. A certain level of previous experience with phonetics is often necessary to follow these discussions.

The binding module descriptions contain further information, including specifications on the "types of assignments" students need to complete. In cases where a module description mentions more than one kind of assignment, the respective member of the teaching staff will decide which task(s) they assign the students.
