Every writer, aspiring or established, will have experienced a nagging voice in his or her mind at some time in the process of writing: "These aren't the right words, how can I put this, no, that’s not right…forget it, it's no use". While our critical voice may sometimes only be a mild nuisance, it may on occasion block creativity or even cause a writer to stop writing altogether.
This student-led workshop aims at dealing with our critical voice, shutting it down when we don't need it and using it when it's right. We will focus primarily on free writing and poetry writing, but the principles will be of use to writers working in any genre.
Open to all serious Creative Writers: the language of this student-led workshop will be English.
