300513 Soziologie des Alterns (S) (WiSe 2012/2013)

Contents, comment

Gegenstand dieses Seminars ist die Betrachtung struktureller Bedingungen des Alterns. Es werden individuelle und kollektive Prozesse und Veränderungen des Alterns aus der Perspektive unterschiedlicher soziologischer Theorien und Fragestellungen diskutiert. Der Fokus liegt bei der Bedeutung des Lebenslagen-Ansatzes in der Gerontologie, der ausgehend von der klassischen Disengagement- und Activity-Theorie, dem aktuellen Ansatz des Active Aging, der Kontinuitätstheorie und der Modernisierungstheorie erörtert wird. Gerontologische Problemfelder werden erarbeitet und es wird versucht herauszustellen, welche Voraussetzungen zu einer Verbesserung der Alternssituation geschaffen werden müssen.
