In dieser Veranstaltung soll ein Überblick über die Geschichte der deutschsprachigen Literatur des 19. Jahrhunderts von der Romantik bis zum Naturalismus erarbeitet werden. Ausgehend von einer Skizze der politischen, wirtschaftlichen und sozialen Entwicklungen sollen sowohl die literarischen Epochen und Strömungen des Jahrhunderts bestimmt als auch die Rolle der drei ‚Hauptgattungen’ (Lyrik, Epik und Drama) reflektiert werden.

Das Seminar wird von einem freiwilligen Tutorium begleitet, in dem die Inhalte der Sitzung vertiefend behandelt werden. Leistungsscheine können durch eine kürzere Hausarbeit von ca. 15 Seiten oder durch die Teilnahme an einer Abschlussklausur erworben werden. Für den Teilnahmeschein sind drei Sitzungsprotokolle anzufertigen.
