Das Seminar richtet sich an Studierende, die sich für das Arbeitsfeld der berufsbezogenen Beratung interessieren. Schwerpunkt ist Coaching, Supervision und Teamentwicklung. Es werden jedoch auch andere Formen erörtert. Reflektiert wird die Beratung vor dem Hintergrund sich verändernder Berufsbiografien und neuer Anforderungen an die Arbeitnehmer.
Supervision ist als eigenständige Methode seit den 1960er Jahren vor allem für die Soziale Arbeit bekannt geworden, später hat sie sich in allen Bereichen des beruflichen Handelns als reflexive Form etabliert. Dieser Ansatz soll vorgestellt und anhand verschiedener Publikationen in verschiedenen Settings bearbeitet werden. Besprochen werden ebenso Entwicklungslinien von Supervision und Beratung sowie Methoden Ansätze und Konzepte.
