300057 Global governance by global frameworks (in English) (Ü) (WiSe 2005/2006)

Subject matter

The seminar's ambition is to present, discuss and reflect upon problems of building forms and frames of global governance and decision making. Basic tensions and disparities characterizing the processes of globalization will be included.

The seminar will proceed in four steps:

• International regimes as processes of generating global order
• Elements and factors of global institution building
• Processes and architectures of creating order from fluctuations
• Frameworks and the idea of contextual guidance

Prerequisites for participating

A passion for arguing, thinking and learning. Basic knowledge in theories of society and theories of the political system.
