Theories and Concepts of Human Development and Health zielt darauf, den Studierenden die für die Beeinflussung des Gesundheitsverhaltens und für Strategien der Prävention und Gesundheitsförderung erforderlichen gesundheitspsychologischen theoretischen und konzeptionellen Grundlagen zu vermitteln. Im Zentrum stehen Modelle und Theorien des gesundheitsrelevanten Verhaltens, die auf unterschiedliche Bereiche des Gesundheitsverhaltens übertragen und auf die Frage hin analysiert werden, welche Ansatzpunkte für Interventionen sich hieraus für die Prävention und Gesundheitsförderung ableiten lassen.
