Gegenstand des Seminars sind Zielsetzung, Aufbau, Inhalt, Ergebnisse, Folgen und Kritik von weitgehend internationalen Studien über Bildungs- und Sozialsysteme. Der inhaltliche Schwerpunkt liegt auf dem Zusammenhang von Heterogenität, Inklusion und Bildungsgerechtigkeit.
Je nach Interesse der Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer ist außerdem eine intensive Beschäftigung mit Aspekten wie vorschulischer Bildung und außerschulischer Jugendbildung, Schul- und Unterrichtsforschung inkl. Schulleistungsstudien, Bildungsberichterstattung, Berufsbildungssysteme, Bildungsökonomie, Lebenslanges Lernen etc. möglich.
