In der Veranstaltung wird in historischer Beschreibung und Reflexion den Fragen nachgegangen, wie die (Behinderungs-)Kategorie „Schüler/in mit Lernbehinderung“ entstanden ist und in welchem Zusammenhang die Abspaltung der Hilfsschule von der Volksschule dazu steht. Das Ergebnis dieser Analyse wird für die Diskussion aktueller, lernbehindertenpädagogischer Fragestellungen genutzt, die aus inklusionspädagogischer Perspektive und im nationalem Vergleich die Konstruktion einer Behindertengruppe, die Dekategorisierung und die Effizienz spezieller (Hilfs-, Sonder-, Förder-) Schulen umfassen.
Diese Auseinandersetzung basiert auf Text- und Begriffsanalysen, die methodisch angeleitet werden und in Einzel-, Partner- und Kleingruppenarbeit durchgeführt werden können.
