Aus dem Vorläufigen Konzept für einen bundesweiten Integrationskurs mit Alphabetisierung (Bundesamt für Migration und Flüchtlinge 2007: 8)
„Erst die Beherrschung der Schriftsprache und das Vorhandensein grundlegender Sprachkenntnisse in Kombination mit elementaren Fertigkeiten der Grundbildung erlauben ein aktives Zusammenleben in der deutschen Gesellschaft und öffnen auf diese Weise die Tür zur Integration. Bei einer teilnehmerorientierten Vermittlung solcher sprachlicher und schriftsprachlicher Kompetenzen sind grundsätzlich auch soziale, sozio-kulturelle, interkulturelle und sozial-psychologische Ziele sowie der Aspekt der Nachhaltigkeit zu berücksichtigen.“Nach einer kurzen theoretischen Einführung in den Schriftspracherwerb und das Integrationskurssystem soll der Fokus dieses Seminars auf der Unterrichtspraxis in Alphabetisierungskursen liegen, dabei soll vor allem der Anfängerunterricht betrachtet werden. Unterrichtsmethoden, -konzepte, aber auch -materialien werden vorgestellt und gemeinsam diskutiert.
