In der Grundlagen-Vorlesung des Arbeitsbereiches Sportmedizin und dem begleitenden Proseminar wurden die biologischen Grundlagen des Trainings und die die Auslösung, Sicherung und Steuerung von Adaptationsvorgängen bestimmenden Faktoren behandelt. Aufbauend auf diesen Grundlagen wird in diesem Seminar der Schwerpunkt auf die Besonderheiten des kindlichen und jugendlichen Organismus gelegt, die bei der Planung und Durchführung des Trainings bzw. des Sportunterrichts zu berücksichtigen sind. Des Weiteren werden die bei Kindern und Jugendlichen leider relativ häufig auftretenden internistischen Krankheitsbilder (z.B. Asthma und Diabetes Typ I) und orthopädische Problemfelder (z.B. Haltungsschwächen) thematisiert und die sich daraus ergebenden Konsequenzen für den Sportunterricht aufgezeigt.
