Im Seminar soll gemeinsam ein grundlegender, theoretischer und empirischer Zugang zum Verhältnis von Kindheit, Familie und Wohlfahrtsstaat erarbeitet werden.

Anhand verschiedener pädagogischer und sozialpolitischer Handlungsfelder (Kinderschutz; frühkindliche Bildung, Frühe Hilfen, Kinder- und Jugendhilfe; Kinderrechte- und Kinderpolitiken; familienbezogene soziale Dienstleistungen), soll aufgezeigt werden, wie der Wohlfahrtsstaat dazu beiträgt, das Muster moderner Kindheit zu etablieren und aufrechtzuerhalten.

Im Seminar soll auf den Wandel des Musters moderner Kindheit sowie die unterschiedlichen staatlichen und pädagogisch-professionellen Zugriffs- und Adressierungsweisen auf Familie und Kindheit eingegangen werden.

Studienleistung:
Die Studierenden schreiben insgesamt drei Reflexionen von je ca. 400 Wörtern zu einem Themenbereich des Seminars und laden diese in LernraumPlus hoch. Weitere Details werden in einer der ersten Sitzungen bekannt gegeben.

Prüfungsleistungen:
Das Seminar sieht Hausarbeiten oder eine mündliche Prüfung als zentrale Erbringungsformen einer (benoteten oder unbenoteten) Prüfungsleistung vor. Weitere Details werden in einer der ersten Sitzungen bekannt gegeben.
