Welche Rolle spielte Gender in (hoch-)mittelalterlichen Klöstern? Die Frage scheint zunächst einfach zu beantworten, weil sofort die Trennung in Nonnen- und Mönchsklöster auffällt. Aber wir wollen in diesem Seminar noch tiefer schauen. Unsere Ausgangshypothese ist, dass Nonnen nicht einfach mit ‚Frauen’ und Mönche mit ‚Männern‘ gleichzusetzen sind, sondern dass das monastische Leben eigene Gender jenseits einer unflexiblen, binären Trennung hervorgebracht hat.
- Welche Rolle spielte Gender im klösterlichen Alltag?
- Wie wurde Gender in Schriften aus und über Klöster konstruiert?
- Haben sich Menschen im (Hoch-)Mittelalter eigentlich auch schon für ‚Genderfragen‘ interessiert?
- Wie wurde zum Beispiel über Gender im Bezug auf Doppelklöster diskutiert?
