300013 Soziologische Theorie: "Aktuelle Kontroversen in der soziologischen Theorie (V) (WiSe 2013/2014)

Der Kurs richtet sich an Studierende mit einem vertieften Interesse an neueren Debatten in der soziologischen Theorie. Behandelt werden die folgenden Kontroversen: (1) Wie sind die Grenzen der Sozialwelt zu bestimmen? Wer kann als Akteur gelten? Bildet die Dyade oder die Triade die Basiskonstellation des Sozialen? (2) Bieten neuere Theoriesynthesen (wie Theorien der Praxis oder die Frame-Selektionstheorie) einen Ausweg aus der „multiplen Paradigmatase“ des Fachs? (3) Wie erklärt die Soziologie? Liefert eine Mehrebenenerklärung eine Alternative zu reduktionistischen Zugängen? Welche Rolle spielen mechanismische Erklärungen in der Soziologie? (4) In welchem Maße kann die Soziologie (wieder) als gesellschaftskritische Wissenschaft auftreten?
