In den vergangenen Jahre haben Bibliotheken und Forschungsverbünde imposante Plattformen entwickelt, über die in großem Umfang digitalisierte Materialien (Bücher, Zeitschriften, historische Quellen vielfacher Art) zur Verfügung gestellt werden. Daneben existieren digitale Repertorien, die die Recherche edierter, nicht edierter und zum Teil auch digitalisierter Quellen sehr erleichtern und auf Fachlliteratur zu diesen Quellen verweisen.
In dieser Lehrveranstaltung geht es darum, einige dieser Plattformen und Repertorien kennenzulernen und die Nutzung an exemplarischen Themen zu erproben. Die Teilnehmenden können eigene Interessen einbringen.

Die Modulbeschreibung sieht für diesen Veranstaltungstyp folgende Studienleistung vor: drei bis fünf kleinere mündliche oder schriftliche Übungsaufgaben oder Präsentationen nach Maßgabe des Veranstalters bzw. der Veranstalterin. Die Studienleistungen haben in Bezug auf die in der Veranstaltung behandelten Methoden einübenden Charakter. Auf die Übungsaufgaben entfallen max. 10 Stunden des Selbststudiums.
