Das Seminar wird im Hybrid-Format angeboten (Präsenz und via Zoom). Das Seminar widmet sich den drei großen antiken Mächten China, Griechenland und Rom und widmet sich der Frage, wie Herrschaftsanspruch und Geltungsmacht in Bild, Text und Ritual vergegenwärtigt wurden. Vier Veranstaltungen sind dem alten China gewidmet, drei dem antiken Griechenland, sechs dem römischen Reich.
