Das Seminar gibt eine Einführung in Epoche machende Musikwerke, ideengeschichtliche und musikästhetische Kontexte sowie Biographien von Komponistinnen und Komponisten in ihrer Zeit.

Zur Veranstaltung wird eine Exkursion nach Kassel im Juni 2022 angeboten - hier sind die Plätze begrenzt und werden nach folgendem Prinzip vergeben: Vorrang bei der Vergabe der Plätze haben Studierende des Faches und Schwerpunktfaches Kunst/Musik vor Studierenden Ästhetischer Bildung vor Studierenden im individuellen Ergänzungsbereich (die höheren Semester haben im jeweiligen Studiengang Vorrang vor den jüngeren Semestern). Insgesamt sind 20 Plätze zu vergeben.
