Children's rights are seen as an important framework for pedagogical practice. In this seminar, first we discuss the historical development of children's rights and the different perspectives on these rights. Second, we discuss the role of the pedagogue as an 'interpreter' of children's rights. We make a distinction between technical and social political interpretations of right, and zoom in on the different consequences of these interpretations.
