Ist für das 20. Jhdt eine Unterscheidung von Wissenschaft und Technik möglich? Viele WissenschaftsforscherInnen lehnen eine solche Trennung ab. Vieldiskutierte soziologische Ansätze postulieren sogar die Entdifferenzierung des Wissenschaftssystems (mode-2, triple helix, etc.). Lassen sich solche Thesen halten, wenn man die historischen Fälle betrachtet? Im Seminar werden die wichtigsten Modelle vorgestellt und diskutiert.
Ziel ist, die kritische Aneignung soziologischer Theorien zur Wissenschaftsentwicklung und deren Analyse vor dem Hintergrund konkreter historischer Fälle einzuüben.

Spezielle Vorkenntnisse sind nicht erforderlich; die Fähigkeit, auch längere englische Texte lesen und diskutieren zu können, wird vorausgesetzt.
