237018 Projekt John Cage: "I have nothing to say and I am saying it" (S) (SoSe 2012)

In diesem Sommersemester widmen wir uns dem Werk des Komponisten
John Cage. Er gehörte zu den einflußreichsten Grenzgängern in der Musik
der zweiten Hälfte des Zwanzigsten Jahrhundert. Sein musikalisches
Werk und seine Philosophie setzten kaum zu überschätzende Maßstäbe für
Komponisten seiner Zeit sowie der Gegenwart.
Es ist ein erklärtes Ziel dieser Veranstaltung anlässlich der
"Nacht der Klänge" am 15.6.2012 einige Kompositionen Cages
aufzuführen. Daran können auch Teilnehmer mit geringen musikalischen
Vorkenntnissen mitwirken. Alle Teilnehmer sollten die Bereitschaft zu
intensiver Probenarbeit an zusätzlichen Wochenendterminen und
Montagabenden insbesondere in den Wochen vor der Aufführung
mitbringen. Last but not least sei erwähnt, dass sich 2012 Cages
Geburtstag zum hundertsten Male jährt.
