“Nanoscopy” oder auch super-auflösende Mikroskopie, bezeichnet optische Verfahren, die
Strukturen jenseits der optischen Beugungsgrenze auflösen können. Verschiedene Methoden nutzen z.B. das stochastische oder deterministische Schaltverhalten von Farbstoffen, die Modulation und Interferenz von Laserlicht, oder eine Kombination aus beidem, um die Auflösung zu erhöhen.
Diese superauflösenden Verfahren nutzen eine Kombination aus präziser Optik und
Opto-Mechanik, hochempfindlichen Bildsensoren, Laserlichtquellen und algorithmischer
Bildverarbeitung. Ihre Entwicklung ist interdisziplinäre Arbeit in Gebieten der Physik, Optik,
Computerwissenschaft und Chemie. Die Verfahren finden in aktueller biologischer und
biomedizinischer Forschung Anwendung.
In dieser Vorlesung lernen sie die theoretischen Grundlagen verschiedener fortschrittlicher
Mikroskopietechniken, und bekommen in praktischen Übungen einen Einblick in die
Funktionsweise der in Bielefeld zu Forschungszwecken genutzten und im Aufbau befindlichen Mikroskope.

Auf Wunsch kann diese Veranstaltung auf Englisch angeboten werden.
