Contents, comment

Ziel und Inhalt des Praktikums ist es, die Grundlagen der angewandten Nutztierethologie kennen zu lernen. Wie werden Tiergesundheit, Wohlergehen und ausreichende Haltungsmöglichkeiten von Nutztieren gemessen und entsprechend bewertet? Dabei wird auf verschiedene Zuchtformen und deren spezifische Haltungsbedingungen mit deren Vorteilen und Nachteilen eingegangen. Anhand praktischer Verhaltensexperimente (Geflügel) sollen Kenntnisse im experimentellen wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten sowie in den zugrunde liegende Konzepten und Methoden erworben und angewandt werden. Die zweite Veranstaltungswoche und die praktische Versuchsdurchführung wird am Institut für Tierschutz und Tierhaltung des Friedrich-Loeffler-Instituts (FLI) in Celle durchgeführt (www.fli.bund.de).
