This is a theme and style based general English writing course that covers many different types of writing. The course is centered around writing practice, reading each others writing and speaking about writing and how to improve writing. In order to keep things interesting and creative, each week focuses on a different type of English writing (a list is provided below). Nevertheless, we will also focus multiple weeks in the middle of the semester on academic writing. If you are looking for a class to explore getting better in English writing, while at the same time having a good and sometimes entertaining time, then this class is for you.
The instructor, a native of New Orleans is passionate about writing and wants to share his passion for writing both creatively and thematically with those who share his passion for good writing or are at least open to being inspired to have a passion for writing well.
