Contents, comment

This course is designed to give students at the B1+ level greater confidence in writing. We will look at the lexical and grammatical foundations of good writing, what makes good paragraphs, how to craft elegant sentences, and practice good strategies for vocabulary enlargement. Individual improvement will be realized through self-assessment, peer review, and instructor feedback. Remedial grammar and lexical ‘repair work’ are also part of this class.

Requirements for participation, required level

Successful completion of another B1-rated course or C-Test of the Language Center (for dates please see http://www.uni-bielefeld.de/fachsprachenzentrum/tests.html)

Students who have completed a B1-course will be given priority.
