Gegenstand des Seminars ist das orthografische System des Deutschen, sowie die Natur orthografischer Systeme im Allgemeinen. Wir werden uns aus verschiedenen Perspektiven damit auseinandersetzen, nach welchen Prinzipien orthografische Systeme gestaltet sein können und wodurch die deutsche Orthografie bestimmt ist. Dabei werden wir auch einen Blick auf die historische Entwicklung werfen und natürliche Prinzipien in der Entwicklung von Schreibsystemen kennenlernen.
