Die Veranstaltung stellt zunächst die Organisation Alten- und Pflegeheim, die BewohnerInnenklientel sowie entsprechende sozial- und professionspolitische Entwicklungen in Deutschland vor. In einem zweiten Schritt werden verschiedene vergangene und gegenwärtige Anwendungsbereiche pädagogischer Beratung in der stationären Arbeit dargestellt bzw. weiterentwickelt. Ein besonderer Schwerpunkt liegt dabei in der Rolle des Beraters. Berücksichtigt wird vor allem seine Rolle in der Einrichtung, sein sozialpolitischer Auftrag als auch das professionelle Selbstverständnis.
