239462 Speaking & Pronunciation (S) (WiSe 2011/2012)

The goal of this course is to ensure that students are able to express themselves approriately, correctly and with assurance in conversations, classroom discussions, and other situations of everyday personal and professional life.

There will be intensive pronunciation practice with special attention to the difficulties of German native speakers. Students will also have a variety of opportunities to further develop their speaking ability so that they can participate in a range of situations in idiomatic English that is both flexible and appropriate.

Requirements for participation, required level

You should have passed the departmental Entrance Test or one of the recognized equivalents.

The requirements for successful completion of this course are that you participate in at least 10 of the oral activities that will take place in the classroom ( including conversations, role plays, interviews and brief presentations).
