„Wie benutzen Menschen ihre sprachliche Kompetenz, um effektiv und kohärent miteinander zu kommunizieren?". Diese Frage bildet den roten Faden des Seminars Dialogtheorien. Dafür werden unter anderem die Pragmatik, die Diskurs- und Konversationsanalyse, die Übermittlung von kommunikativen Intentionen, das Turn-taking, common ground processing, perspective taking sowie Dialogtheorien wie z.B. das einflussreiche „Aligment Model“ von Pickering & Garrod behandelt
