Spätestens mit der Formulierung der Sustainable Development Goals scheint die Notwendigkeit einer nachhaltigen Transformation aller Lebensbereiche und nicht mehr eines bloßen soziopolitischen Wandels international Konsens zu sein.
Im Seminar stehen zunächst die Genese und die verschiedenen theoretischen Prämissen um den Ansatz der sozial-ökologischen Transformation im Mittelpunkt. Im zweiten Teil des Seminars werden anhand von Länderbeispielen aus Afrika, Asien und Lateinamerika die Praxis sowie die Voraussetzungen zum Gelingen sozial-ökologischer Transformation analysiert und der Frage nachgegangen, welchen Beitrag Entwicklungszusammenarbeit leisten kann.
