220043 Geschichtswissenschaft und Geschichtsphilosophie (S) (SoSe 2021)

Die moderne Geschichtswissenschaft hat ihr disziplinäres Profil in kritischer Abgrenzung zur Geschichtsphilosophie geschärft, ist dieser aber zugleich in vieler Hinsicht verhaftet geblieben. Anhand klassischer Texte, von Kant und Hegel bis Fukuyama, wollen wir einen Überblick über zentrale Motive und Probleme der Geschichtsphilosophie gewinnen und ihr Spannungsverhältnis zur Geschichtswissenschaft ausloten. Abschließend stehen neuere Versuche einer produktiven Anknüpfung an geschichtsphilosophische Traditionen zur Diskussion.

Das Grundseminar ist als Lektürekurs zur Einübung der hermeneutischen Interpretation von ideengeschichtlichen Textquellen konzipiert.
